I just ordered the stinking cutest Southern Belle tshirt. It's the Mardi Gras '09 shirt, and I ordered it today and it should be in next week, or at least before the Mardi Gras parade in Hammond. I'm totally going to wear it. I love Southern Belle shirts, but being a Louisiana girl, and these shirts originated in Mississippi, I feel like a lot of the little sayings are more Mississippi than Louisiana. Those who aren't from here may not really see a difference, but for me, growing up in Louisiana, living there for 22 years, and then moving to Mississippi, I just want to let you know that there is a difference. It's not a bad thing, just different. For one thing, accents are different, Mississippi accents are way more twangy than Louisiana accents. Now really, I'm not hating. I like Mississippi, I just am having to get used to subtle differences, like not making King Cakes as well as say, Berry Town or numerous other famous king cake makers in Southern Louisiana. I guess the big thing that I'm having a hard time dealing with is Mardi Gras. In Louisiana, we get off from school for Mardi Gras. Here, in Mississippi, it's just another day. I don't know if I can handle it, knowing that the state of Louisiana is bursting with excitement while I'll be stuck working.

you should order the mardi gras shirt too (even though it's only offered in short sleeve). Myself, Aunt Jenny, and Hannah will all have them, you wouldn't want to be left out, would you?
